Fire

A fiery and vibrant collection capturing the mesmerizing beauty of flames. For me personally, the marshmallow photos are probably my favourite. Simply for the reason that they are the photos that made me believe in myself as a photographer. I shot these outside at night, it was a camp fire with friends. Giant marshmallows had been brought for the ultimate smores. This along with the hypnotic quality of fire inspired me to get my camera out. An image popped into my head as I snapped away capturing the burning logs. I asked a friend to help bring that image to life. These photos being the result. I had never shot at night before and genuinely thought that most, if not all photos would be unusable. Then I saw these. I haven't edited those three in any way. That's why out of all the thousands of photos I've taken, these are my favourite. They made me believe.
